Senior Manager, Portfolio Optimization, Global Business Payments - Toronto, ON(165659)
Purpose
Senior Manager, Portfolio Optimization is responsible for the identification and development of strategies that help drive growth and improvement across GBP Products. This includes working with partners to leverage customer analytics and profitability models to better understand growth opportunities and prioritizing strategies to ensure that objectives are achieved in the most optimal way.
Is this role right for you? In this position you'll be:
Provide meaningful insight and thought leadership that advances GBP’s strategic agenda and informs senior leader decision-making
Optimize the profitability of GBM’s product portfolio by analyzing, designing, and recommending strategies
Engage with product owners and cross function partners to refine and execute said strategies
Support the implementation and execution of campaigns to drive the business
Support key strategy projects by leading the day-to-day execution of key strategic workstreams to achieve targeted end products, with a focus on:
Gathering & analyzing information to generate business-relevant insights
Developing recommendations
Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact on strategic and business development initiatives
Research, analyze, and synthesize data, trends, leading practices, and other business intelligence in support of business plans
Identify and monitor product KPIs, key market trends, and revenue opportunities
Identify opportunities for process improvement and change management
Support the planning and forecasting process for GBM products
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
We'd love to work with you if you have:
5+ years of management experience, including in Product management or Strategy role(s).
Undergraduate degree (or equivalent diploma) required; graduate degree an asset; specialization in Finance, Strategy, Analytics, Business, or Marketing
Understanding of GBP Products financials and P&L levers
Strong strategic thinking and results focus skills
Merchant Services Experience- Nice to have
Thorough knowledge of the Canadian banking financial services marketplace, customer segments, and the Bank’s relative competitive position within those market areas
Strong facilitator, with the ability to lead team of senior contributors to overall objectives
Demonstrated success in leading teams and working cross-functionally
