ZTR has partnered with the world’s largest Rail Transport Company to build a hybrid-electric locomotive, with the first prototype expected to be delivered in late 2023. We need your help to drive and manage this project on an ongoing basis.
You will be helping with a wide variety of tasks from the supply chain, to technical requirements and customer management. Furthermore, you will work closely with Engineers, developers and executive-level leaders to make this project successful and push the industry forward. For this role, hybrid work is available; located at our office in London, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle.
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
- Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
- Communication with customers to support successful project execution and create positive customer relationships
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team
- Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate the impact on baseline
- Support the definition of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Specifications for the requested products and services.
Who Are you?
- Applicants should hold an engineering degree or diploma.
- 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects, working with business stakeholders and full product lifecycle development.
- Experience with Agile (scrum or Kanban) or SAFe project development cycles
- Strong leadership and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams.
- Organized with strong time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
- Occasional travel may be required.
